Using Multiple Catalogs

EZGenerator supports one catalog per web site. However, you can still simulate multiple catalogs by having your catalog items categorized.

The CATEGORY field is a hardcoded system field which is displayed on the Main Screen like a combo box (if you don't see this combo box, please add it from the Adapt Screen and Database mode). You can add new categories by typing a custom name in the combo box.

By grouping your catalog items in categories, you can later select a specific category to be displayed in the Catalog Lister Special Page Settings.

To simulate different content type in the various categories, simply add fields that cover all kinds of information needed for the separate categories. Whether a specific field in a catalog item is displayed or not in the final page depends totally on the way you design the layout of each Catalog Lister instance in the site.
