Add Page
The
Add Page dialog allows you to add new pages to your site. This dialog window can be accessed either from the
File menu, or from the Explorer panel.
This window contains a few settings for the page you add (type, name, layout) and also its
level in the site hierarchy (language and category).
 |
Please, note that we have a Video Tutorial available on this topic.
You can check it out at EZGenerator Tutorials. |
- Explorer (site
tree) - The site tree on the left side of the window allows
you to position the page in the site structure.
If the language and/or category you want to place the page in, do not present in the current site,
simply select new language from the Language combo
box and create new category, using the Category edit box (explained
below).
- Page Type (combo
box) - Select here the type of page you want to add to your site. You can start from scratch and add absolutely Blank page. You can also select one of the Wizard predefined pages - Newsletter, Biography, Discography, etc, or one of the Special Page types (see Page Types).
There is also one extra page type at the bottom of the list - Menu Splitter. This is not real page type and is not supported in all templates. The Menu Splitter simply splits the menu into sections.
- Menu Name (edit
box) -Type a custom name for the new page. This name will be displayed in the site menu.
- File Name (text
box) - Type a custom filename for the new page.
- Directory (combo
box) - Select directory for the new page to be stored in. EZGenerator supports only first level directories. You can add new directory using the Add button. The default directory for EZGenerator pages is 'documents'. For NoFrames mode only you can also save pages in root.
- Language (combo
box) - Select the site language version for the new page to be assigned
to. If you select language that do not present in the current site, EZGenerator will create new
site language
version in the project.
- Category (edit box) -
This edit box contains one of the already created categories by default. You can change it, using the Explorer panel. If you want to create new category, simply type its name in the edit box. Keep in mind that every category must contain
at least one page or it is automatically erased.
- Preview - This area is a preview for
the new page you add, depending on the
Page Type and Layout selected. Some page types support more than one layouts. If this is the case, use the arrows to navigate between the different layouts. You can create custom layout template from any page
in your site (see Page Layout in the
More Settings menu).
- Add Page (button) -
Creates the new page.
- Close (button) - Closes the dialog.
