Main Screen

The Main Screen is where you edit your page content. Select the page to edit by clicking on it from the Explorer Panel. This area along with the Toolbar is called the 'Web Editor', because it acts like any 'word processor' allowing you to edit page layout and contents. You can easily format content, insert tables, hyperlinks, images, buttons, etc, using the tools on the Toolbar or the Right-click Menu (from right-clicking inside a page).

 

Modes

Down the right side of the main screen are some tabs (see left), called mode tabs. Not all the tabs will be visible, it depends on the page type you are editing.


  • In Edit mode you edit page - add and format content (text, media, flash, images, widgets). You can use the Editing Tools or the More Settings menu, accessible by right-clicking in the area.

    Right-clicking in the template area (menus, template images) displays the Template menu, containing short list of customizable template elements. Same list can be accessed in Project Template Toolbar.

  • In Browse mode you can preview the page as it will look like in the browser. It is useful to regularly switch between these two modes to check changes.
  • Admin mode is available only for special PHP pages as Blog, Calendar, Guestbook, Newsletters, Shop, etc. Switching to admin mode will open the corresponding admin panel where you can manage online content (blog posts, calendar events, subscribers), depending on the selected page.

    • IMPORTANT You can access admin mode only if project is uploaded on a PHP enabled server.

  • In Template mode you can directly edit template HTML skeleton, and also add custom CSS styles.

Editable Area

Some templates contain one or more small EDIT buttons that allow you to insert extra content in the template area. This area is called Template Editable Area.

 

Status Bar

At the bottom of the main screen, there is status bar with some useful information. Starting from left to right it shows: current template, resolution, current page name [filename][page ID], page size in bytes. If the cursor is inside a table, you will also see current cell size.
