Upload

In this tab you define where you want to upload your site. After you set this, you can select Publish from the Publish menu in the Web module, and your site will be uploaded to the specified location.

Your Account (radio button)

If this option is selected, the site will be uploaded to your own FTP account (using the information you fill in the boxes below).

• Host (text box) - Fill in the URL (web address) of your FTP account host.*
• Subdirectory (text box) - If your account requires you to upload to a specific folder on the host, define it here.*
• User ID (text box) - Fill in the user name for your account.
• User Pwd (text box) - Fill in the password for your account.
• Passive Mode (checkbox) - Enable/Disable passive mode for FTP Transfer.
• Re-upload data (button) - Some special page types as Blog, Calendar, etc store info in data files. Use this button ONLY in case one or more of these files have not been uploaded on server (these are files with .ezg.php extension).
• Reset Upload History (button) - EZGenerator keeps history of uploaded files to "Your account". This button resets EZGenerator upload history. Use this button ONLY when you want to make fresh upload on new server (or when physical location of server is changed).

Test Account (radio button)

If this option is selected, the site will be uploaded to a special test account (available to all EZGenerator users). None of the above options (Host, Subdirectory, User, Password) is used when you are uploading to your test account.

EZGenerator test account is not to be used for anything but testing how your site works when uploded online, because some advanced features in EZGenerator require that the site is uploaded to a web server. Please, keep in mind that test sites on EZGenerator test server are regularly deleted. This means that if you upload your project and try to access it again 2-3 weeks later, your previously uploaded website will be already deleted. That's why you will have to Reset Upload History before uploading it again. Do not direct your visitors to view the site using this test account.

* Note: Normally, you will be given a full address to your FTP account, for example ftp://ftp.freehosting.com/myfirstsite/. In this example, ftp.freehosting.com is the host address, and /myfirstsite/ is the account subdirectory. Please do not confuse the HTTP address of your account (starts with http://) with the FTP account address (starts with ftp://).

Reset Upload History (button) - EZGenerator keeps history of uploaded files to "Test account". This button resets EZGenerator upload history. Use this button ONLY when you want to make new fresh upload (needed in case your account has been deleted).

Upload to Directory (radio button)

If this option is selected, the site will be uploaded to the directory specified in the textbox. Press the "Search" button to look for a directory in your directory structure.

Reset Upload History (button) - EZGenerator keeps history of uploaded files to "Directory account". This button resets EZGenerator upload history. Use this button ONLY when you want to make fresh upload on new directory.
