Thesaurus

The Thesaurus can be called in EDIT Mode, and allows you to search for synonyms/antonyms for any word (if available). You can also use it to check the meaning of words by looking at the synonyms. To open, right-click on a page and select Extra > Thesaurus from the pop-up menu. NOTE: You may need to download the Thesaurus the first time you use it. Click OK to the pop-up and restart EZGenerator after it is completed.

Window Controls

• Lookup (text box) - Highlight a word while in EDIT mode and this field will be auto-completed with that word. You can also type in manually.
• Search (button) - Click to start the search.
• Previous (button) - Goes back to the previous word shown in the thesaurus (if any).
• Sense Descriptions (text box) - Displays the meanings of words searched.
• Nouns/Verbs/Adjectives/Adverbs (switch buttons) - These allow you to check for nouns, verbs, adjectives or adverbs (a disabled button means the word has no data for that type). To show all meanings again (regardless of type) click the button again.

Tabs

The set of tabs at the bottom of the window contain additional information about the word. If there is no information the tab is hidden:

• Synonyms (tab page) - Words with similar meanings - "close" is a synonym of "shut".
• Antonyms (tab page) - Words with opposite meanings - "large" is an antonym of "small".
• Attribs (tab page) - A noun (object or subject of discussion) for which the adjective (which describes some attribute of the noun) expresses value - "big" is an attribute of "size".
• Type Of (tab page) - Shows less specific words for the lookup word - "comedy" is a type of "play".
• Types (tab page) - Shows more specific words for the lookup word - "flower" has "daisy" as one of its types.
• Parts (tab page) - Shows words for part of an object - "tree" is one of the parts of a "forest".
• Parts Of (tab page) - Shows words for a collection or the whole - "bumper" is a part of a "car".
• Similar Words (tab page) - Words with meanings that are close - "big" is similar to "large".
