More Settings Menu
The More Settings menu contains several common
commands (such as Cut, Copy and Paste)
and a set of context-sensitive commands, related to the selected object(s),
or the object the cursor is placed in.
To open the More Settings menu:
- If you want to see the context-sensitive commands for a specified object,
select the object.
- Click the More Settings icon (
)
on the Main Toolbar.
OR
- If you want to see the context-sensitive commands for a specified object,
select the object.
- Right-click (over the selected object, if any).
Common Commands
This section describes commands that appear without specific context.
- Undo - Restores the page contents before
the last change you have made in the Web Editor.
- Redo - Applies the next change you have
made in the Web Editor.
- Restore Page from Back-Up - Restores the
entire page from the last available save. A page is saved each time you switch
to another page, open an item from the Main
Menu or switch to another module.
- Cut - Moves all selected contents to the
clipboard.
- Copy - Copies all selected content to
the clipboard.
- Paste - Pastes the clipboard contents
at the cursor position. Any selected content is replaced by the clipboard
contents.
- Insert Html/Scripts - Opens Insert Html window.

- Insert Plug-In - Opens the Plug-Ins window
where you can select a plug-in to be inserted. See Plug-Ins.
- Insert Pictures/Slideshows - Opens Insert Pictures Dialog window wher you can insert pictures and slideshows.
- Insert/Delete Bookmark - Opens the Insert/Delete
Bookmark window. See Bookmarks.
- List and Bullets - Contains a submenu with
lists bullets available in the current Web Template. For more information, see Lists & Bullets.
- Insert Flash Object - Inserts a Flash
applet (*.SWF) of your choice. For more information, see Flash
Object.
- Insert FlashDings - Inserts an Editable Flash
applet (*.SWF).
- Insert Media Object - Inserts a media
object (music, video etc.) in the page. You can select one of three popular
media players to display the file (Windows Media Player, Quicktime Player,
RealMedia Player). For more information, see Media
Object.
- Insert Flash Audio/Video - Inserts a Flash
Audio applet (single or multi song) capable of playing MP3 files of your choice. For more information,
see Flash Audio.
- Embed Extern Object - Allows you to embed external media or image file (stored on another server). Simply select Media Player and type the exact url of the media file, or select External Image if you want to insert image and type the exact url of the file.
- Insert Lorem Ipsum - Inserts any amount of filler "Lorem
Ipsum" text (dummy
text of the printing, typesetting & web design industry). You will be prompted
to enter the number of paragraph to be generated.
- Insert Special Characters - Provides submenu with some special characters that you can insert in your pages - Line Break, Non-breaking Space, Page Break (Printing), copyright (©) , registered (®) , trademark (™) , pound (£) , yen (¥), euro (€) ,plus/minus (±), cents (¢).
- Insert Rollover Image - Inserts an image with
a rollover effect (second image is displayed if the mouse cursor is
positioned over the image area). The dialog contains the following options:
Original Image - Click the Browse button
to select the base image to be displayed on the page. The image will load
through the Image
Edit Wizard, which allows
you to apply a wide range of transforms and effect on the image; Rollover
Image - Click the Browse button to select
the image to be displayed when the mouse pointer rolls over the base image;
Name - Sets the image object name. Leave that parameter
to its default value unless you want to insert scripts which require specific
image name; URL - If you want the image to link
to another page, put the address here (you can leave this box empty). NOTE: This
feature creates a standard image object which makes use of the rollover image
effect. You can change or refine the image
settings by double-clicking
the image.
- Text To Button - Converts the selected
text to a button with the same caption. If no text is selected, EZGenerator
opens a popup window allowing you to type the name. For more information,
see Buttons.
- Button Factory - Allows advanced button
creation, including ability to select template, style and type used to generate
the button surface. For more information, see Buttons.
- Page Import/Export - Opens submenu with options for Page Import and Page Export.
Page Import - Browse for a file to be
imported in the current page. Supported formats include: Rich
View Format (*.RVE); Rich
Text Format (*.RTF); HTML
documents; Word 6.0/95/97/2002 Documents
(*.DOC). You can also recover text from any
file format, if it is not directly supported by EZGenerator.
NOTE: Currently not all characteristics from the files are imported
into the page. For example, scripts and cascading style sheets are not imported
from HTML files.
Page Export - Allows you to export the
current page contents in the following file formats: Rich
View Format (*.RVE); Rich
Text Format (*.RTF); Word
6.0/95/97/2002 Documents (*.DOC).
Import Data Into HTML Table - Opens the
Database Import dialog
where you select a database to be used as a data source. The results are inserted
at the cursor location formatted as a table.
- Page Layout - Provides submenu with options to switch to another layout (if available) or save the current page content as a custom page layout. You can use the custom
layouts later to create new pages in the Add
Page window.
- Search - Opens submenu with two options. Search And Replace dialog allows you to search for a specific word or phrase inside the current web page and replace it with new word. Search In This page allows you to search for a specific word or phrase inside the current web page.
- Extra - Contains three commands: Spelling,Thesaurus and Show System Characters. Spelling allows to check the selected text for syntax errors
(see Spell Checker);
Thesaurus gives information for the meaning, synonyms and antonyms (if available)
for the selected word (see Thesaurus). Show System Characters allows you to switch on/off the special character marker that tracks the text formatting.
Context Commands
This section explains commands that appear within a specified context.
Table
These commands appear only if the cursor is positioned inside a table or if you
have selected a table.
- Table - Contains a set of commands for
manipulating the table. For more information, see Tables.
- Cell Properties - Opens the Cell
Properties window for the table cell the cursor is placed in. For more information,
see Tables.
Image & Image Buttons
- Button Factory (only for image buttons)
- The Button Factory is a common command (displays no matter of the object
selection or cursor position) but if an image button is selected, it allows
advanced button creation, including ability to select template, style and
type used
to generate
the button surface. For more
information, see
Buttons.
- Button ToText (only for image buttons)
- Converts an image button back to text. For more
information, see
Buttons.
- Replace Image - Opens Insert Pictures Dialog window where you can replace the image for the selected button.
- Field Properties - Opens the properties window
for the selected image/button, where you can change the button caption.
Flash Object & Flash Audio Player
- Flash Properties - Opens the properties
for the selected flash object. For more
