PAGE TYPES
Overview
In EZGenerator you can create pages from several types. Each type is designed to serve a specific purpose.
Some pages are HTML pages, while other - as Blog, Calendar, Newsletter - are PHP pages.
Some page types are predefined - they have default content that you can replace with your own.
Two pages are always generated in your project and cannot be erased - Index and Footer. However, they can be disabled.
Most of the page types have more that one layout. The layout sets the way page content is organized.
- Index - This page
appears in the very beginning when a visitor opens your site. Typically this page contains the company/organization
logo and a list of available language versions in the site. For details, check .
- Footer - The Footer page is not a standalone
page that visitor can browse. Instead, it defines footer content that is appended to
each page in your site, usually a short copyright notice or contacts information. For details, check .
- Blank - With this page type you can add custom content to your site in a manner similar to creating
Word document. For details, check .
- Online Editable Page - With this page type you can update page content online, using an WYSIWYG editor. For details, check .
- Home - This is the first page that opens when visitors enter a language version from Index page. There is a single
home page for each of the language versions in your site. For details, check .
- Links - This page type will generate page with links. Replace default content with your own.
- Contact Request - With this page type you can insert or , that site visitors can use to send you feedback or questions with contacts information. You can also insert only Basic Contacts information.
- About - This page type will generate About page. Replace default content with your own.
- Customer Quotes - This page type will generate page with customer quotes. Replace default content with your own.
- Newsletter - This page allows your site visitors to send you subscribe/unsubscribe requests using a php page (newsletter subscription, for example). For details, check .
- Biography - This page type will generate sample Biography page. Replace default content with your own.
- Images - This page type will generate page with images. Replace default images with your own.
- Discography - This page type will generate sample Discography page. Replace default content with your own.
- News - This page type will generate sample News page, powered by MoreOver.
- Products - This page type will generate sample products page (not driven by data from Catalog module). Replace default content with your own.
- Catalog - This page type will generate list
of all or a subset of the items in your Catalog or Contacts database. Each item in the list will be formatted based on a template you can define and modify in the Web Editor. You can choose between Catalog or Contacts driven page, and also between and page. If your server supports PHP, the PHP Catalog is recommended.
- FAQ - This page type will generate sample FAQ page. Replace default content with your own.
- Privacy-Copyright - This page type will generate sample Privacy-Copyright page. Replace default content with your own.
- Blog - The Blog Page is a web page for which an individual generates text, photographs, audio files, and links, typically but not always on a daily or otherwise regular basis. For details, check .
- Photoblog - The Photoblog Page is a special type of blog, designed to let users easily manipulate images. For details, check .
- Podcast - The Podcast Page allows you to create and manage your podcast. For details, check .
- Guestbook - The Guestbook Page allows you to create and manage a guestbook on your site. For details, check .
- Calendar page has one simple purpose - to give you (your company/service/etc) a tool to publish events, so that your site visitors to be well informed about what is happening, and to track your company events schedule by months/year. For details, check .
- Login - This page allows you to protect one or more of your pages with username&password. For details, check .
- Shop - The Shop Page (E-Commerce) represents shop in your website. .
