Basics
The Online Editable Page is a page containing editable area.
You can modify this Editable area online using a WYSIWYG rich-text editor. The edit mode is protected and can be accessed by Enable/Disable button. Both Editable area and Enable/Disable button can be inserted in your Online Editable page from Fields panel.
If you need more than one editable areas on same page, go to Fields panel and drag-and-drop more than one editable area fields in your page.
Online editable page edit mode can be protected directly (DEPRECIATED) or by Central Admin.
To protect edit mode directly, you have to set Unprotected, Admin section controlled by Page Password and define password in Page Settings panel (Protection and Password properties), and password prompts in Editable Page Settings panel (see below).
To protect edit mode using Central Admin, you have to set Unprotected, Admin section controlled by Central Admin in Page Settings panel (Protection property) and define Login page in Login property (optional). In this case you define users in Central Admin interface.
If you protect your Online Editable Page, both access to page and to edit mode will be controlled by Central Admin.
If your Online Editable page is controlled by Central Admin and you want to place Enable/Disable link on another page, insert hyperlink with Link Type: internal, navigate to your Online editable page and select enable/disable link.
