Enabling Paypal IPN support.

Instant Payment Notification (IPN) is a paypal message service that notifies you of events related to PayPal transactions. IPN is required in ezg EZGenerator shop when selling downloadable content, and highly recommended when selling non-downloadable products. To set up a shop follow the steps below:

Setting your Shop page

• Go to the Shop Settings panel, use the Payment button to set your Paypal account in the Control string window.
• Make sure Use callback (enable IPN) is checked.

Activating IPN in your PayPal account (Instant Payment Notification)

You need to activate some features on your PayPal account to interact with your EZGenerator shop page. Data needs to go from the shop to PayPal and then the payment confirmation needs to be passed back to the shop as a trigger to provide the purchased content to the customer.

• Log in to your Premier or Business PayPal account.
• Go to My account > Profile, More Options.

  

  
  
• In profile summary click Instant Payment Notification Preferences

  

• Enable Receive IPN messages option and enter the Notification URL. Notification url is url of your shop page with ?action=callback at the end.
  For Example:

  if your shop page url is : http://www.mysite.com/shop/shop.php then Notification URL will be http://www.mysite.com/shop/shop.php?action=callback

  When ready press Save.

Enable Return option in your Paypal account

• Log in to your Premier or Business PayPal account.
• Go to My account >> Profile.
• Click Website Payment Preferences and then press Edit button.

   

  

   

• Set Auto Return for Website Payments to On. and enter the Return URL. For Example:

  if your shop page url is : http://www.mysite.com/shop/shop.php then Return URL will be http://www.mysite.com/shop/shop.php?action=return
