Insert Rows or Columns (advanced)
The following procedure allows you to insert multiple rows or columns at once
and provides better control over the insertion point. You can use this procedure
to insert new rows at the bottom of a table.
To launch the procedure:
- Position the text cursor inside a table.
- Right-click and from the menu that appears, select Insert
Rows or Columns.
- Set the required options in the Insert Rows and Columns
dialog and press OK.
The following options are available in the dialog window:
- Insert (radio
group) - Select Rows to insert rows or Columns
to insert columns in the table.
- Number of columns/rows
(number edit box) - Set the amount of rows
or columns you want to insert.
- Where (radio
group) - The available choices are different depending on your
choice to insert rows or columns. For rows, the available choices are Below
Selection and Above Selection (to insert
the rows below or above the selected table row, respectively). For columns,
the available choices are Before Selection and After
Selection (to insert the columns on the left or right side of the
selected table columns, respectively).
